During July I had the great pleasure of spending three nights on Skomer Island off the coast Wales photographing Puffins. This was my second time photographing puffins and they are probably one of my favourite subjects so far. Although not difficult to photograph whilst sitting, catching them in flight can be quite a challenge. The advantage of staying over on the island is that you get a better chance of photographing them in good early morning light or if you are lucky a nice sunset at the end of the day, and once the day trippers leave you get the whole island to explore by yourself. Here are a few of my favourite images from the trip.
